Take a walk on the wild side this Summer at Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens. As you stroll around the park, make sure to introduce yourself to the gardens’ hairier residents. Get eye-to-eye with giraffes, see the rhinos graze the grass of the Manor’s Lawns and monkey around with the primates. Visiting the homes of over 260 different animal species in 120 acres of Parkland is a great family day out! Kids of all ages will love the enclosures and grounds along with the tree-top adventure playground, but if that sounds like a lot to do and see; take a ride on Bella the Train and enjoy the animals up-close, along with the stunning gardens and themed borders at a more relaxing pace.
The beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water has been made miniature in a one-ninth scale replica of the heart of the Cotswolds. Your little ones will become giants as they stride through the village’s Inns, stone Fords and over the Old Water Mill, complete with gardens, flowers and waist-high trees. Listen to the choirs singing in the church, tower above the miniature stone houses and walk alongside the Windrush River and across its miniature bridges. Explore the marvellous miniature mysteries held within this quaint family day out.
Treat your loved ones to Giffords Circus; a marvellously magical village green circus that is tumbling with Wow-Factor! It is a magical experience for little ones (and big ones!) to travel by steam train. There is something special about the whistling of the pistons and whirring of the wheels that capture the imagination and sense of adventure of every generation. On the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, an impressive railway engine pulls carriages along a track that travels through the picturesque hills giving you some of the best views of the Cotswolds.
