5 Very British things to do with Dad this Father’s Day
Dads are great. They are there when we first learn to ride a bike, pick us up when we graze our knee and help us with the DIY when we finally find our own home. Each dad is a one-of-a-kind, with his own unique way of helping you on your way. Saying thank you to dad, on the other hand, is often easier said than done. How do you possibly thank the man who has always been there for you?
If you’re struggling for the perfect gift, our award-winning team here at our luxury Cotswold hotel have put their heads together to bring you our top five unique things to do in the Cotswolds this Father’s Day.
1. A Trip to the Theatre
Whether it’s smooth Jazz or a night of poetry and wit, ghost stories or dramas, there is something for every dad at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham. Why not treat him to an extra special evening and give him the VIP treatment in the Director’s Lounge? Launching this June, The Director’s Lounge offers everyone the chance to have a VIP experience prior to performances at the Everyman Theatre. Relax in the comfort of a private space and enjoy a drink and canapes on arrival.
2. Father’s Day BBQ
Here at Ellenborough Park, we know how to make dad feel special. Renowned as one of the best Father’s Day events in Cheltenham, our Father’s Day BBQ is back for another year of fun & games for all the family on Sunday 18th June, 11.30am – 4.00pm. Our chefs will be grilling, searing and smoking delicious steaks, sausages and burgers. Combine this with a refreshing cider, beer or glass of Pimms from the outdoor bar and some live music and you have yourself the perfect Father’s Day event!

Their shop and tasting room is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm and has been designed with visitors in mind.
